Dream (Stadium LRT Station, Edmonton)

Dream is comprised of 15 individual structures varying in colour and size that come together to create a playful gathering space. The shapes are meant to flow into each other, inspired by the North Saskatchewan River, constellations, and prairie skies.

Through this project, our team explored how we gather as a community, both purposefully and inadvertently. Constellations of seating were created and arranged to allow autonomy over how individuals, regardless of age, gender, body type, economic and social groupings, gather and utilize the space for different needs. These structures are meant to be playful and accessible while being mindful of the diverse bodies that may interact with them.
